We live in a culture where the use of drugs and alcohol are considered normal and we even begin teaching our children at a very young age that consuming these substances is just a part of society. But people seem to disregard the fact that these substances are both highly addictive and harmful to one’s over all health. There are many side effects and negative consequences to becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol. It is very important that we pass on these disadvantages at the same time as we teach our children that the use of drugs and alcohol is acceptable.
